MESOSCOPIC DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIMITIVE CARDIAC TUBE AND ITS SEGMENTS (Abstract). In the 22th day of embryonic life the primitive cardiac tube is formed by the junction of the two endocardial tubes. We demonstrated the appearance of the straight primitive heart tube with its superior extremity from witch starts the dorsal aortae and its inferior extremity sinus venosus, but also the conoventricular fold and the conotrucal junction. The cardiac looping was demonstrated by highlighting the segments of the primitive tube in this stage: the common atrial chamber, the atrioventricular canal, the presumptive right and left ventricles and the conotruncus. The final stage of “S” shaped heart was minutely described in pictures, with all the cardiac chambers, the interventricular grooves and atrio ventricular junction. Our study aimed to describe using minute dissection of embryos the evolution of the primitive cardiac tube and its segments. We highlighted the primitive cardiac tube undergoing through its developmental stages, of straight cardiac tube, the cardiac loop (“U” –shaped loop) and the cor sigmoideum, the converged loop (“S” shaped loop).
