DEEP GIANT MEDIOPALMAR LIPOMA. CASE REPORT (Abstract): Although lipoma is one of the most common benign soft tissue tumor, its location in the hand is extremely rare and deep giant lipomas are even more rare. We present the case of a 47-years-old male patient, with a symptomatic giant lipoma in the deep palm region, developed under the vascular palmar archway, successfully treated surgically. We underline the rarity of the location, the importance of the magnetic resonance exam in both the positive and the differential diagnosis and the need of surgery to restore normal function of the hand and disappearance of symptoms.
