LEFT MANDIBULAR DENTIGEROUS CYST: CLINICAL CASE (Abstract): Is described a case in a female patient aged 22 years, who addressed to the clinical for physiognomic and esthetic considerations; based on clinical and radiological examination the diagnosis of follicular cyst with the inclusion of wisdom tooth 3.8 was set. The size of the cavity was 5.6 x 4.5 x 2.3 cm. Surgery was scheduled, a trapezoidal incision with large base towards the vestibular sac. The periosteum and mucous flap was removed, exposing the cavity. The cyst was removed and the membrane was more easily eradicated. The cavity was filled with lyophilized bone. The flap was reapplied over the cavity and the mucosal wound was sutured. Healing was performed by organizing the intracystic hematoma and lyophilized bone. The evolution was favorable. The dentigerous cyst is encountered at a frequency between 15.2% 33.7% of all odontogenic cysts. The mechanism of cyst formation remains unclear; there are several theories explaining its origin. The choice of treatment is based on the size of the lesion, location, patient age, involved dentition and relationship with surrounding vital structures.
