Obesity has become a major problem over the world, including our country. As a result of this facts, people have a limited amount of options to increase their life expectation span and for the ones who are considered morbidly obese, bariatric surgery has become the only option. The most common procedures in weight-loss surgery are: adjustable gastric band, sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy with duodenal switch. Fluoroscopic upper gastrointestinal examination is the most used imaging test for analyzing the postoperative anatomy and detecting early or late complications associated with bariatric surgery. The role of this article is to present the anatomy modifications after the procedures so that complications will be prevented easier. Regardless of our specialty, knowing the postoperative anatomy will eventually lead to a better treatment of this disease.
