      REVIEW OF THE LIVER SEGMENTATION HISTORY AND HEPATIC RESECTIONS BRISBANE TERMINOLOGY (Abstract): The authors analyze the history of the terminology of the surgical anatomy of liver segmentation based on the main elements of intrahepatic distribution of the hepatic veins, of the portal vein, of the hepatic artery and of the billiary tract. The sectional anatomy of the liver and the current terminology of the liver resections compliant to the resolutions of the Brisbane Conference are present.
