THE ROLE OF THE IMAGING EXPLORATIONS IN THE BORDER OF THE PANCREATIC PATHOLOGY (Abstract): The ultrasonographic method can rapidly solve the problem of establishing the image characteristics of the pancreatic lesions. Anyway in some cases this possibility was less effective because of the gas content of the transverse colon or by the presence of the umbilical scars. A good examination and analysis of the structures to be examined allow the section image method or the computed tomography (CT), which is the basic method when it comes to analyse and decide upon the pancreatic diseases diagnose. This allows specialists also to make some exploratory or therapeutic manoeuvres. The disadvantage of this method is by far the high price and the lack of technical devices. In spite of the fact it brings much information in uncertain cases magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is another expensive method and in the same time it is disturbed by the content and by the movement of the stomach. The aim of the study is to assess the accuracy of Ultrasonography, CT and MRI for the differential diagnosis between pancreatic cystic lesions and the solid ones.
