TRACT UNDER THE TRANSVERSE AORTA OF THE LEFT INNOMINATE VEIN – ANATOMICAL VARIATION (Abstract): The anatomical variations in the vascular areas emerge more often on the venous system, especially on the small or superficial veins, as the anatomical variations within the large venous vessels are much rarer. We present an anatomical variation discovered accidentally during a CT with contrast substance, done on a male patient aged 45; in his case, the left innominate vein participates to the formation of the superior vena cava by passing under the transverse aorta.
